Welcome to Spring Village at Essex, a brand new, state-of-the-art community, designed from the ground up to create a warm, small-town environment. We offer 50 private or shared suites, with bright and fresh resident rooms grouped in “neighborhoods.” We use natural slate and wood clapboard along the interior to create a streetscape look and feel. Our main entrance, known as “Town Square” welcomes everyone with hand-painted murals of the Vermont countryside by Pennsylvania muralist Carrie Kingsburg.
We encourage strolling, visiting and relaxing throughout our community. There are cozy gas fireplaces in our beautifully appointed living rooms. Sunny enclosed courtyards provide an outdoor spot for rest or conversation. There are two country kitchens available for families and visitors. Feel free to cook up a home-cooked meal. Or just make a quick lunch or snack while you’re visiting.
We go out of our way to offer activities that will be fun for our residents and their families. Our Spring Village at Essex van is available to take folks apple-picking, shopping, and to local cafes and bookstores. We always take a leaf-peeping tour during our fall foliage season. Families are welcome to join us on these outings. We are very excited about our new “Duet,” a specially designed tandem wheelchair-bicycle. It’s safe and fun and gets residents out in the Vermont scenery on the Essex Bike Path and surrounding neighborhoods. Our staff will be using it as much as possible in good weather.
